Natasha Kai   Natasha Kai, 23

Home Town: Kahuku, Hawaii
Position: Forward College: University of Hawaii
Natasha made her full Women’s National Team debut at the 2006 Algarve Cup in Portugal, scoring in her first two games against Denmark and France, both as a substitute. She became the 4th player in WNT history to score in her first two caps and is the first-ever player from Hawaii to play for the full U.S. WNT. She enjoys singing and takes after her father Benny Kai, who is a professional singer at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, Oahu.

Danielle Fotopoulos   Danielle Fotopoulos, 30

Home Town: Altamonte Springs, FL
Position: Forward
College: University of Florida
Danielle was a member of the U.S. team that claimed the 1999 World Cup gold medal in front of a sell-out Rose Bowl crowd and the NCAA All-Time Division I goals and points leader. Fotopoulos received her bachelor's degree in leisure management from UF in May of 1999. She and George have two children - Alexia Shea (4) and Vasilos George (1).

 

 
Meagan Kakadelas  
Megan Kakadelas, 23

Home Town: Carlsbad, CA
Position: Forward
College: Santa Clara University
Megan is a member of the U19 U.S. National Team and has been a part of the National Team programs for the last four years. Has played in nine full international matches and has scored four goals, scored one goal and two assists in her first start at the first-ever FIFA Under-19 Women's World Championships, a 6-0 win over Chinese Taipei.

 

 
Shannon Boxx  
Shannon Boxx, 30

Home Town: Redondo Beach, CA
Position: Midfielder
College: Notre Dame
In 2006, Shannon started all three games at the Four Nations Tournament in China, helping the USA to the title, while scoring on a header against Norway. Also, started all four games at the Algarve Cup and was named Tournament MVP for the second time. Finished third in the voting for the 2005 FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year.

 

 
Jenni Branam  
Jenni Branam, 26

Home Town: Placentia, CA 
Position: Goalkeeper
College: University of North Carolina
In 2006 at the 2006 Algarve Cup, Jenni played in her first match for the full Women’s National Team since July of 2000, where she earned a shutout against Denmark at the Algarve Cup.  She was a member of the Girl Scouts for 11 years and her hobbies include rollerblading, hockey and surfing.

 

 
Lori Chalupany  
Lori Chalupny, 23

Home Town: St. Louis, MO
Position: Midfielder
College: University of North Carolina
Lori was voted as the 2005 U.S. Soccer Young Female Athlete of the Year. She earned her first four caps for the full national team in 2001, playing against Italy in Rieti, Italy and then playing three matches the 2001 Algarve Cup in Portugal, starting against Portugal and coming on a substitute vs. Sweden and Norway.

Lori Lindsey, 27

Home Town: Indianapolis, IN
Position: Midfielder
College: University of Virginia
Lori is one of the finest players in University of Virginia soccer history, participating on the U-16, U-17 and U-21 teams and has been part of the player pool for the full National Team since 2006.

 

 
Heather Mitts  
Heather Mitts, 28

Home Town: Cincinnati, OH
Position: Defender
College: University of Florida
Before 2004, Heather had played five times for the full National Team, one match each in 1999, 2001, 2002 and two in 2003. In 2006, she played in three games at the Four Nations Tournament, starting two and had an excellent tournament at the Algarve Cup, starting all four games. She graduated with a degree in Advertising and worked for ESPN as a sideline reporter on college football during the 2005 seasons.

 

 
Heather OReilly  
Heather O’Reilly, 22

Home Town: East Brunswick, NJ
Position: Forward
College: University of North Carolina
Heather has been a member of the U.S. National Team since 2002 and was invited to participate in training camp prior to the 2003 Women's World Cup. She played in her first world championship event at the senior level at the 2004 Olympic Games. in 2005, she played in all four matches at the Algarve Cup, starting one, which was her first start since breaking her leg in June of 2003. She enjoys basketball, music and computers.

 

 
Leslie Osborne  
Leslie Osborne, 23
Home Town: Brookfield, WI    
Position: Midfielder
College: Santa Clara University
Leslie earned her first nine caps for the USA in 2004, starting six matches. In 2006, she played in all three matches off the bench at the Four Nations Tournament in China and played in two matches off the bench at the Algarve Cup. She majored in communications and has an interest in broadcasting. Her passion is traveling, especially to Hawaii, and also enjoys kids and coaching.

 

 
Lindsay Tarpley  
Lindsay Tarpley, 23

Home Town: Kalamazoon, MI
Position: Midfielder
College: University of North Carolina
Lindsay played as a forward during her highly successful youth National Team career and by the age of 21, scored two of the most important goals in U.S. soccer history. In 2006, she played mostly in the midfield for the full Women’s National Team. Started in all games at the Four Nations Tournament in China and in the Algarve Cup, starting two and scored against Denmark. She is a spokesperson for United Soccer Foundation and enjoys to shop, read and listen to music.

 

 
Christie Welsh  
Christie Welsh, 25
Home Town: Massapequa Park, NY
Position: Forward
College: Santa Clara University
Christie experienced her breakout tournament at the 2005 Algarve Cup, scoring five goals, including the game-winner in the championship against Germany, to help lead the USA to the tournament title. Following the Algarve Cup, she had scored 18 goals in her first 27 caps. She enjoys the outdoors, electronic gadgets and has a passion for photography.  Her dream place to visit is Hawaii.

Following her collegiate playing days, Nancy was drafted by the Atlanta Beat of the WUSA where she played three seasons (2001, 2002 and 2003), distinguishing herself as one of the best center backs in the WUSA. She made her debut with the National Team in November 2001 after competing with the U-21 National Team for two years.

Brandi Chastain

 
Brandi Chastain was one of the women’s national team’s most accomplished defenders, but created the defining moment in women’s soccer by scoring a goal. Her medal-clinching penalty kick against China in the 1999 Women’s World Cup final, and joyously uninhibited jersey-waving celebration, brought her team and her sport into the international spotlight.

 

 
Siri Mullinix  
Siri Mullinix

 
Earned a spot as one of four goalkeepers in residency camp for the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup after a solid career at North Carolina and three years in the U.S. Under-21 National Team program. Siri was the starting Goalkeeper for the US National Team in the 2000 Olympics and was on the 2003 World Cup Team. She was also the starting Goalkeeper for the Washington Freedom. Won the Founders Cup in 2003 as a member of the Freedom.

 

 
Diane Slaton  
Danielle Slaton

 
Slaton was a five-year member of the U.S. National Team from 2000-2005 that won a silver medal at the 2000 Olympic games in Sydney, Australia and a member of the third place 2003 World Cup squad. In 2005 she went on to play for the Olympique Lyonnais in France where she was a starting defender on the French First Division team and a member of the runner-up French Cup Tournament team in 2005.
